General Faqs
An escape room is a live action puzzle game, in which you will have to work together as a team to find clues, solve puzzles, and uncover hidden secrets in order to escape the room before the 60 minutes is up!

The booking fee that is charged on top of your order is kept directly by our booking and payments system and helps pay for this service.

We are a small family run business, and we strive to ensure our customers are getting the best value for money, but it is sometimes difficult to administer everything accordingly. This booking fee helps support our small independent business and take the pressure off the team, so we can continue to deliver our customers a fantastic experience here at ClueFinders.

Please note, the booking fee is not charged when booking for a larger group via email, when calling us directly to book, or when making a booking through our affiliate portals.

If you have any questions please email [email protected]

If you have purchased a gift voucher from us and have been unable to use it due to our temporary closure or it has expired between 23/03/2020 - 04/04/2021, we will be extending these vouchers for 6 months starting 05/04/21 ending 23/10/2021.

Please email [email protected] with your booking reference so you voucher can be manually extended.

Most of our games are designed for 2 to 7 players, but we recommend a team made up of 3 - 4 players, so you have the best chance of escape, and everyone has good amount of things to solve in the room.

Our games are fun for all ages, and whilst there are no age restrictions, the games may be too challenging for persons under the age of 9. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

There is no upper age limit, but please contact us for further information on Accessibility.

Of course, we have had many pregnant guests enjoy the game in the past. There is plenty of opportunities to sit down and rest in both ‘Remy’s Room’ and ‘The City'. Players will also be able to exit the room at any point if necessary. The only physical restriction is our room, ‘The Tomb’, which may be unsuitable for pregnant guests.

Please see the Special Requirements and Accessibility FAQ

We understand that the concept of being locked in a room can be quite unnerving, but to put your mind at ease, we have a spare key, or where an electronic lock is in place, there we always been a green emergency button in all our rooms in case of emergency so you are never really ‘locked in’.

Our game operators will be monitoring your game via CCTV to ensure your safety, so we are on hand to help you at any time if you are in any distress.

Please note, that although ‘Remy’s Room’ has high walls and plenty of space, ‘The Tomb’ will have elements of confined spaces (70cm x 70cm), so may not be suitable for sufferers of claustrophobia. If you have any questions about this, please use our contact page to get in touch.

Please check out our Bookings Page online to book, this will provide you with our current availability and a rundown of prices.

The price of the game varies on the size of your group, the more players in your team, the lower the price is per person. Please go onto our Pricing for more information on pricing and availability

We recommend you allot 1 hour and 20 minutes for your visit with us. You will receive a 10 minute health & safety briefing when you arrive, and the game itself lasts 60 minutes (or less if you escape!) After the game, there will be a debrief, with the opportunity for some fun group photos, which should take around 10 minutes. If you have any time constraints during your visit, please let us know prior to the game

We currently have three rooms in operation, the details with regards to accessibility and suitability are as follows:

‘Remy’s Room’: There are no physical restrictions within this game. The room itself is wide, has plenty of space and an opportunity to sit down. This game does not include the use of strobe lighting or distressing sound effects. Please be aware this game is on the first floor of our centre, so is not suitable for guests requiring wheelchair access.

‘The Tomb’: Unfortunately, this room will not be suitable for all guests. There is an element of confined space within this room, and will involve every member of the team to enter a crawl space, so we do not recommend this to pregnant women, people who suffer from claustrophobia or anyone over the height of 6 foot (although if you don’t mind a tight squeeze then be our guest!). Due to the nature of this game, it is not suitable for guests requiring wheelchair access.

‘The City’: There are no physical restrictions within this game. The room itself is wide, has plenty of space and an opportunity to sit down. This game does not include the use of strobe lighting or distressing sound effects. This game is located on the ground floor of our centre, so we are delighted to be able to accept guests in a standard manual wheelchair.

Please note that all our rooms come with a spare key inside so you are welcome to leave the game at any point if you feel uncomfortable. Our staff will also be watching the entire game on CCTV so will be able to help if guests are in any distress. You will also have opportunity to communicate with us whilst in the room. Except for low-level lighting, there are no elements within any of our games that would be deemed as frightening and are suitable for all ages. If you do need any more information or would like to discuss your options, then please get in touch with us. There will be music playing throughout the game, but at your request the game can be played without audio. Whilst the majority of the puzzles and clues are purely visual, there are some clues that are of an auditory nature, so although the games are playable for any player with a hearing impairment, we advise at least one player in your team is free from any hearing impairment.

All our team photos are shared on our social media platforms, including but not limited to; Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. If you want to request a copy, or want a picture removing please contact us at [email protected]
Yes, there is free parking available outside of the venue and you are welcome to use our car park for the duration of your visit.
